When Jewelry Meets Body

By now we all have the obvious bases covered; Ears? Check. Neck? Check. Fingers? Check. Arms? Check. So what about the rest of our body that so longingly wants to be included in our daily jewelry-wearing activities? In the past couple of years, body jewelry has had it's time in the spotlight, but I don't think that it's gotten nearly enough attention as it deserves. What other purpose does this large canvas of bare skin (some larger than others thanks to their ice cream addiction), if not for piling so much jewelry we're suspected of robbing a jewelry store? NONE. And also some other important things, but the jewelry thing is, like, a close #2 on the list.

So where to buy some of these magnificent body jewelry pieces, you ask?

One of my favorite e-commerce sites of all time for all my body jewelry needs is Litter SF. If you wanna dress up the most random parts of your body, you come here. You can get head, elbow, calf, and regular ol' torso jewelry, even shoe jewelry in case your shoe needs a little excitement. It just all feels so right.

Handmade in California, Litter SF was started by sisters Rachael and Mackenzie when they made a headpiece out of a broken necklace and featured it on their blog. After that, it's all history. I mean, there was more to the story, but to go to find out more about them, you can go to the 'Our Story' section of the site because I'm sure it's been awhile you've read something substantial. At the top of the page you can choose what and where you want to dress up with jewelry and sort that way, but make sure you have a pillow under your chin because your jaw will drop.

Check out their website and purchase some jewelry to go on your body. Here are just some favorite pieces of mine:

Curves out of control? This won't help, but it'll look cool.
Diamond Body Harness, $52

THE SLIM
One of my favorite pieces to wear in the summer because it cleverly hides some of my cellulite and earns compliments rather than looks of disgust.
Leg Chain Garter, $85

SILVER BRALETTE
And this one is for those of you who want to draw some attention to your small, often-ignored bosom:
Silver Chain Bralette, $75
